Tournament Size Chess Board

from 183.00

This beautiful tournament-size chess board is made of solid Missouri maple and walnut squares. The playing surface is backed by Baltic birch, with a border of solid walnut. Rubber pads on the bottom facilitate slip-free play.

Choose a carved border for a really distinctive handmade game board, or a solid border for a simple, classic look.

This is a large chess/checkers board, with a playing surface of 18" square, and overall size of 21-1/2" square. This is the same size as a regulation tournament board.

We're providing wooden chess pieces for those looking for an all wood chess set. This is a lightly weighted Staunton style set with a 3-3/4" king. Light pieces are made of boxwood, dark pieces are sheesham.

Large wooden checkers (1-3/4" diameter) are also available.

We'd be happy to engrave a personal message on the back of the board. To do this, please select the custom engraving option and enter your message in the box provided when you add the board to your cart.

Each wooden game board is unique due to the natural variations in the color and grain of wood. This is part of the beauty of working with natural materials. The board you receive will be very similar to the one pictured here, but probably not identical.

We also offer a handmade lined walnut box that complements the chess board to store your chess pieces in.
